Just 28 days after securing a third consecutive victory with the 499P at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, courtesy of the number 83 crew, and finishing third with the number 51 car, Ferrari returns to the FIA World Endurance Championship stage for the 6 Hours of São Paulo: round five of the 2025 season will take place on Sunday, 13 July, with the race starting at 11.30 a.m. local time.
The historic Interlagos circuit hosts a round of the FIA WEC for the second consecutive year. First opened in 1940, the track is characterised by its technical layout and dramatic elevation changes. At just 4.309 kilometres, it is the shortest circuit on the world championship calendar.
The official Ferrari – AF Corse 499Ps will return to action on the undulating terrain of the São Paulo circuit. The number 50 crew features Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen, while the current leaders of the FIA World Endurance Drivers’ Championship standings, Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi, compete in the number 51 car. So far this season, the two Hypercars have taken three wins – in Qatar with the crew of the number 50 car, and in Italy and Belgium with the number 51 – plus three pole positions. The São Paulo round is the halfway mark of the 2025 campaign.
The 6 Hours of São Paulo will also feature the trio of official driver Yifei Ye, Robert Kubica, and Phil Hanson, who claimed the most prestigious win of the FIA WEC season contested in June at the Circuit de La Sarthe, in the Giallo Modena-liveried 499P. The 2025 season for Ferrari’s AF Corse-entered Hypercars also includes a second-place overall finish at the opening round in Lusail, along with the historic French result in front of 329,000 spectators, which sealed Ferrari’s third consecutive victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The standings. Ferrari leads the FIA World Endurance Manufacturers’ Championship with 172 points, 77 clear of second place. In the Drivers’ standings, Pier Guidi–Calado–Giovinazzi top the table with 105 points, followed by Ye–Kubica–Hanson on 89, and Fuoco–Molina–Nielsen on 57. AF Corse also leads the FIA World Cup for Hypercar Teams, open to independent outfits, with 138 points.
The programme. Track activities begin on Friday, 11 July, with two 90-minute free practice sessions at 11 a.m. and 3.45 p.m. Saturday 12 opens with Free Practice 3 at 10.10 a.m., followed by Hypercar class qualifying (3.25 to 3.37 p.m.) and the Hyperpole session (3.45 to 3.55 p.m.), which will determine the starting grid for the race starting on Sunday, 13 July at 11.30 a.m.
