Comments after qualifying at São Paulo
São Paulo 12 July 2025
Ferraris will start from the fifth, seventh and ninth rows for the São Paulo 6 Hours, the fifth round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship. The result came at the end of qualifying and Hyperpole on the Brazilian circuit, where the number 83 499P from the AF Corse team secured the ninth-fastest time, while the official Ferrari – AF Corse team cars placed 14th and 17th with the number 50 and 51 crews respectively. Here are the comments gathered at Interlagos.
Antonio Fuoco, 499P #50: “We knew this weekend would be very tough for us, and qualifying confirmed that. It would have been hard to secure a better grid position. In the 6 Hours of São Paulo, fighting for the top positions will be difficult, but as always, we’ll do our best, hoping to finish in a good spot and score points that are crucial for the championship standings at this stage of the season”.
Antonio Giovinazzi, 499P #51: “Today was a difficult day, as we expected. I don’t think we could have done much better in qualifying, given our pace, and personally, I’m a bit disappointed not to have put together an optimal fast lap. The race will be long; we’ll tackle it with maximum determination, giving our all until the chequered flag, hoping to score vital points for the world manufacturers’ and drivers’ championship standings”.
