Le Mans 2025: the 499Ps at Pesage

    Le Mans 07 giugno 2025

The historic centre of Le Mans provided a striking backdrop as the Ferrari 499Ps took part in Scrutineering, the technical checks for the cars competing in the 93rd edition of the world’s most famous 24-hour race. This traditional event marks the official start of the most eagerly awaited week of the year for endurance racing fans, round four of the 2025 FIA WEC.

This morning, the Maranello-based manufacturer’s Le Mans Hypercars were the first to arrive in the historic centre of the French town, where a large crowd of enthusiasts gathered to welcome the drivers and cars and admire the number 50 and 51 Ferrari 499Ps up close.

Entered by the Ferrari – AF Corse works team, the cars will be crewed by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, Nicklas Nielsen, Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.

To applause and the inevitable flurry of photographs, the public also welcomed the number 83 Ferrari, entered by the privateer AF Corse team, which will be driven in the race by Prancing Horse official driver Yifei Ye, alongside Robert Kubica and Phil Hanson.

Meanwhile, attention across the international motorsport world now shifts to the track activities, which begin on Sunday, 8 June, with the first two free practice sessions of the Test Day. The cars will return to the 13-kilometre French circuit on Wednesday, 11 June, for two additional free practice sessions and Qualifying. Thursday, 12 June, will feature a two-part Hyperpole session and two further free practice sessions. The race itself kicks off at 2 p.m. (local time) on Saturday, 14 June.
