GT World Challenge Australia. The final and decisive act of the season takes place on the New Zealand circuit of Hampton Downs, running concurrently with the GT Festival. Fourteen cars line up, led by Jaxon Evans and Elliott Schutte of Arise Racing GT in the number 26 Ferrari 296 GT3, first in the Pro Am standings and 30 points clear of their nearest rivals (with 52 points at stake in the final round).
Supporting them in the chase for the title will be teammates Jordan Love and Steven Wyatt. A third Ferrari 296 GT3 will be driven by Zagame Autosport with drivers Josh Buchan and Cameron Campbell at the wheel, making their debut in the championship.
After Friday’s free practice sessions, Saturday’s programme includes qualifying sessions at 10.38 a.m. and 11.03 a.m., with Race-1 starting at 4.26 p.m. On Sunday, Race-2 at 1.25 p.m.
Super GT Japan. The Motegi GT 300 KM will be the final round of the season in which all titles will be decided. In the GT300 class, the number 7 Ferrari 296 GT3 of Car Guy MKS Racing with Rikuto Kobayashi and Zak O’Sullivan is still in contention for the final win, currently lying third. The pairing can still aim for success in the championship thanks to the new regulations that allow one round to be dropped, with points counting from seven of the eight season legs. A win in the race would secure the title.
Completing the Ferrari line-up will be the number 6 car of Velorex with Yoshiaki Katayama and Roberto Merhi Muntan, and the number 45 of Ponos Racing with Kei Cozzolino and Takuro Shinohara at the steering wheel.
