Weekend notebook: Ferrari double-win at Nürburgring

The Ferraris of Emil Frey Racing claimed a superb double-win in the DTM at the Nürburgring, with Jack Aitken now second in the overall standings.
DTM. In the ninth race of the season at the Nürburgring, British driver Jack Aitken scored his second victory in the Emil Frey Racing Ferrari 296 GT3. Starting from pole position, he regained the lead after the pit stop and crossed the line first. Ben Green completed the team’s success with a stunning late comeback, earning second place in the number 10 car. The British drivers were less fortunate in the weekend’s second race, with Green finishing 15th and Aitken 16th. Despite this, Aitken remains second in the championship, eight points behind the leader. Further back, Emil Frey Racing’s third driver, Thierry Vermeulen, finished 15th and 21st.
The next round of the German championship will take place from 22 to 24 August at the Sachsenring.
