    Ferrari 296 LMGT3 on second row at 6 Hours of Imola

    The number 21 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 of Vista AF Corse, crewed by Alessio Rovera, Simon Mann and François Heriau, will start fourth on the grid for the 6 Hours of Imola, round two of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship on Sunday, 20 April. Its sister car, number 54, with Davide Rigon, Francesco Castellacci and Thomas Flohr, will line up eleventh.

    The Bronze-rated drivers took to the circuit in the opening qualifying session, held at an air temperature of around 21°C and a track temperature of approximately 38°C. François Heriau turned in the second-fasted time of 1’43”498, earning the number 21 entry a place in the Hyperpole. Thomas Flohr clocked 1’44”348 at the wheel of number 54, just 41 thousandths of a second off the cut-off for the top ten.

    For the decisive ten-minute Hyperpole session – run in conditions similar to the earlier outing – the team followed this year’s regulations by fielding Silver-rated Simon Mann in the number 21 car. He recorded a best lap of 1’42”920, placing the Ferrari on the second row of the grid, just 565 thousandths of a second off pole.

    The 6 Hours of Imola kicks off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, 20 April.
