    Weekend notebook: first and third in class at the 12H of Spa

    The 12 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the second European round of the 24H Series, ended with victory in the GT3 Pro Am class for the number 56 Ferrari 296 GT3 of Scuderia Praha. Also making the podium, thanks to a third-place finish, was Kessel Racing’s number 8.

    24H Series. The second European leg of the 24H Series, held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, saw the number 56 Ferrari 296 GT3 of Scuderia Praha take victory in the GT3 Pro Am class with Miroslav and Matúš Výboh, Josef Král and Dennis Waszek. The crew dominated the class throughout both the opening hours on Saturday and the second part on Sunday, also finishing fourth overall and third among the GT3 cars. On the final step of the GT3 Pro Am podium was the number 8 Ferrari 296 GT3 of Kessel Racing, with Blake Mcdonald, Matthew Bell, Dustin Blattner and Constantin Dressler, just ahead of the Rossa number 81 of Era Motorsport driven by Kyle Tilley, Dwight Merriman, Jake Hill and Ryan Dalziel.

    Thanks to these results, Scuderia Praha now leads the Pro Am team standings with 68 points, with Kessel Racing trailing by 4 points. In the GT3 standings, Scuderia Praha tops the table with 46 points, tied with HOFOR Racing, followed by Era Motorsport in second (44) and Kessel Racing in third (42).

    Among the other cars from the Maranello-based manufacturer, the number 29 of Pellin Racing, driven by Kyle Marcelli, Felice Jelmini and Lisa Clark, finished 15th overall, while the number 23 Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo of Pellin Racing, with Teje Haugen and Paolo Ruberti at the wheel, was forced to retire after 42 laps.

    The 24H Series championship resumes from 23 to 24 May with the 12 Hours of Misano, the third European round.
