    Comments after Hyperpole at Imola

    Imola 19 aprile 2025

The front row of the 6 Hours of Imola will feature the Ferrari 499Ps starting from first and second thanks to the performances of Antonio Giovinazzi and Robert Kubica at the wheel of the number 51 and 83 cars during qualifying and the Hyperpole. The number 50 car, however, will start from 18th on the grid, as Antonio Fuoco was unable to progress to the final session reserved for the top ten crews. Here are the comments collected at the end of the day.

    Antonio Fuoco

There’s not much to say after this Hyperpole session other than to apologise to the whole team and my teammates, because we had the potential to do well and to start with three Ferraris at the front. Because of a mistake, we didn’t make it into the Hyperpole and tomorrow, starting from the back of the grid, we’ll have to fight our way back through the field. We know we can count on a very fast car with great pace, so we’ll do our best. On a personal level, I’ll be trying to make up for the mistake I made today.

    Antonio Giovinazzi

It’s always a special feeling to get into the cockpit of a Ferrari and know that so many tifosi are cheering us on. Securing a second consecutive Hyperpole here at Imola, in such a stunning and passionate setting, makes today even more special. I want to thank the team for the outstanding work and for providing us with a fantastic car. We often talk about the idea of a ‘perfect lap’ – it’s hard to truly achieve it, but today I think we came very close. Starting from the front on this circuit is a big advantage in terms of minimising risk in the early stages of the race – that’s definitely a plus, and tomorrow we’ll give our all in the race with the aim of delivering great joy to our tifosi.

    Antonio Giovinazzi

    Antonello Coletta

Starting with two Ferraris on the front row at our home race is incredibly meaningful and fills us with pride. Congratulations to the team for their work, to Giovinazzi for a memorable Hyperpole lap, and to Kubica for completing an all-Prancing Horse front row.The only regret is that Fuoco couldn’t make it into the decisive session due to track limits, especially as he was proving to be very competitive. Tomorrow we face a long and demanding race, but our aim is to keep up this pace, execute everything perfectly, and reward the Ferrari tifosi who will be supporting us at Imola. The passion and affection they show every time the 499P is on track means everything to us.
